Some of the biggest acts in rock will be performing at Rocklahoma 2017
Now in it’s tenth successful year, Oklahoma’s biggest hard rock festival, Rocklahoma 2017 is going to be biggest that ever. The annual three-day festival that is rock n roll madness is featuring some of the biggest acts on the scene, and introducing relatively new bands to their audience. In past years, the number of attendees to Rocklama has crossed over 100,000 over three days.
Past performers have included the likes of Guns N Roses, Halestorm, Skillet, Papa Roach, KoRn and Bullet For My Valentine, among others.
This year, the likes of Stone Sour will be hitting the stage for a live set. Frontman and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor had spoken earlier about the band coming out with a new album this year. A great eclectic mix of bands are expected, including Taylor Momsen-led The Pretty Reckless. This is the first time the fledgling band is making to Rocklahoma, after the positive reviews for their album, Who You Selling For? Of course, it is a little awkward to have Suicidal Tendencies among the list, since they are a little bit heavy with the thrash! Black Veil Brides has in the past received criticism from those who have been in the scene for a while. Their work is more of a mockery of glam metal (but they already make a mockery of themselves) and punk, but you gotta give the young crowd what they want, right?
