Sam Lufti’s lawsuit against Britney Spears’ family has been dismissed by a judge in the US. The ruling stated that Lufti’s claims of libel, battery and breach-of-contract were not concrete enough.
Judge Suzanne Brugera, who is a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge said that she had thought long and hard about the decision. She went on to say, “So the motions are granted…as to all the defendants and all the causes of action. That is the right thing to do, so I am going to do it”.
The ruling was in response to Britney’s parents’ motion to throw out the charges of battery and breach-of-contract which was filed by Lufti, who was Spears’ self-proclaimed ex-manager. The ‘Oops…I did it again’ singer’s parents said that there was no physical altercation between Lufti and Jamie in 2008 and there was no legal document that allowed Lufti to claim any benefits from Spears.
The judge went on to say that the altercation between Lufti and Jamie was not pre-planned and that Lufti had said that he was fine after the incident, and as a result it cannot be brought to light now.
Lufti has said that he would be appealing the decision. Both Lufti and Britney’s parents will have to be back in court tomorrow, as the Jury will be making the case dismissal official.
