American singer Selena Gomez cancelled her concert, she was supposed to perform on Sunday night at the B96 Jingle Bash 2011 at the Allstate Arena Illinois. The singer cancelled the show as her mother suffered a miscarriage.
Reports said that the Gomez was attending the Power 106.1 Cali Christmas Concert when the singer heard the sad news. Selena, who was among the spectators, immediately left the event and went home to be with her family.
In the month of November, the singer announced through the social networking site Twitter that her mother Mandy and her step father Brian Teffy were expecting. Selena said that she was finally allowed the share the news and wrote, “My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister I’m the happiest girl in the world!”.
The concert was originally scheduled for December 19 at the WaMu Theatre in Seattle but was postponed due to the vocal rest of the One Republic front man Ryan Tedder. Gomez is also scheduled to appear on the MTV’s New Year special but due to family emergencies it is still not clear if the singer will attend. Gomez while announcing her mother’s pregnancy had also posted a picture of her step father while he holds Mandy’s baby bump.
