American rock band Kings of Leon’s hit single ‘Sex On Fire’ has been announced as the most downloaded rock song in the UK history. The famous band’s song topped a list – compiled by MTV Rocks – of the 20 most downloaded rock songs of all time. The latest list was revealed in celebration of 10 years of digital downloading in the country.

Sex On Fire becomes most downloaded rock song in UK history

‘Sex On Fire’ was released in 2008 and is also the 10th most downloaded UK track overall. In addition to that, the ‘Closer’ musicians have another single in the top 5 of the list, as their hit ‘Use Somebody’ – also from 2008 – came in at number 3.

Meanwhile, ‘We Are Young’ by Fun came in at number 2 and the list also features Coldplay, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Journey and Bastille in the top 20.
