US-based noise pop musical duo Sleigh Bells are returning to the music scene and gearing up for the release of their third studio album, titled ‘Bitter Rivals’. The band’s upcoming record is scheduled to be released on October 8, 2013, via Mom + Pop and it will be a follow-up to the 2012’s release ‘Reign of Terror’, which reached No. 12 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Sleigh Bells: Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller

The ‘Infinity Guitars’ musicians already released the title track from the new album and vocalist Alexis Krauss said, “This song is definitely representative of what you’re going to hear on the record in terms of setting a certain mood and combining a lot of the elements that we love to incorporate into our production.” She went on to say that ‘Bitter Rivals’ has the gang vocals, very brutal production, as well as melodic element in the chorus.

The band’s latest record features ten songs and was produced by Derek Miller and mixed by Andrew Dawson, who worked on all of Kanye West’s albums and also worked as an engineer on other various projects, including fun.’s ‘Some Nights’ and Rick Ross’ ‘Teflon Don’. Sleigh Bells stated that they started working on ‘Bitter Rivals’ while they were on tour with the previous release, ‘Reign of Terror’.
