Scottish singer Susan Boyle will be teaming up with Elvis Presley for her upcoming Christmas single. The track titled ‘Oh Come All Ye Faithful’ will feature the Britain’s Got Talent star singing alongside a recording of Elvis Presley.
The upcoming single will be recorded for a good cause and all royalties from the track will go to the charity Save The Children. While talking to reporters, Boyle said that it is a highlight of her career to become the first British artist to have a posthumous duet with the King of Rock and Roll.
The singer said, “I’m very honoured, it’s a bit surreal, awe-inspiring and awesome. Not everyone gets the chance to do a duet with him.” Boyle expressed that she has always been a fan of the ‘Love Me Tender’ singer and also recollected when his music played in the house growing up quite a lot and that she loved seeing some of his movies.
Even producer Simon Cowell in a recorded message at a central London news conference where the single was announced stated that he was proud of Boyle. Cowell went on to say that no one of all the people he has met has a bigger heart than her. The latest track from Boyle will appear on her fifth album titled ‘Home For Christmas’, which will be released on December 8, 2013.
