This is the first time in 2016, after a whole year of musical silence, that Taylor Swift has vocally contributed her talent to a track. The last time she was in the news for music, it was for her contribution to ex Calvin Harris’ summer hit with Rihanna, This Is What You Came For that ultimately hit 1 billion views on YouTube. Her last official release was in 2014 with the multiple award winning, record breaking album, 1989.
Zayn Malik released Mind Of Mine in 2015 after splitting from boy band, One Direction. He has since been in the news for being supermodel Gigi Hadid’s boyfriend and also for being an advocate for anxiety, something that he personally suffers from and caused him to cancel a live performance earlier in the year.
Apart from Swift and Malik, a number of other leading artists have made their contributions to the soundtrack – Beyoncé with Crazy In Love, Miguel’s version of Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love, Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do and The Weeknd’s Earned It, among others.
Fifty Shades Darker is the second instalment to Fifty Shades Of Grey. It tells the story of Anastasia Steele, an intern who is taken in by the billionaire BDSM freak, Christian Grey. Their relationship turns into something more than just sexual, and in this movie, their love turns dangerous when stalkers and ex lovers from the past threaten their very lives for love.
Fifty Shades Darker will release in theaters worldwide on February 10, 2017.
