The American rock band formed in the year 1961, have on December 16 announced their reunion tour for celebrating their 50th anniversary. The rock band are working on their new album and are also planning a 50 date tour which will make the travel around the globe.
Brian Wilson in a statement said that the anniversary is special to him as he misses the boys and it will be a thrill for him to make a new record and be on the stage with them again. The other group members Bruce Johnston and David Marks have been in the band for decades.
Earlier, the group was about to announce their reunion at the nominations special of the Grammys which could not be worked out. Group member Al Jardine said that they will also be making an appearance at the telecast of Grammys on February 12, 2012.
Jardine has assured that the audience will be treated with a surprise at the Grammys. Something really exciting is planned by the band for the event and is going to be a very big operation. The first concert of the band is scheduled for April 27 at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival.
