The Black Keys have done it again. After picking up 3 Grammy Awards in 2010 for their album ‘Brothers’ led by the single ‘Tighten Up’, the group have managed to pick up 3 more Grammy’s for their latest album ‘El Camino’.

The Black Keys Album ‘El Camino’ has the cover photo of a cheap van that the Ohio band used for touring earlier and this seems to have driven them to success. The Black Keys are an American rock band, formed in Ohio in 2001, by Dan Auerbach (guitars, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo picked up their Grammy’s during Sunday night’s ceremony held in Los Angeles.

The band’s single ‘Lonely Boy’ won the Best Rock Song award and the Best Performance as well, whereas ‘El Camino’ was named the Best Rock Album. To add a feather to their cap, the singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach bagged the Best Producer of the Year award for his work on El Camino and Dr John’s locked down.

The Black Keys faced stiff competition from the world’s biggest bands and singers such as Muse, Cold Play, Bruce Springsteen and Jack White. The award must have been gratifying, after the Keys were constantly and unfavorably compared to White. The Financial Times also once said that their showmanship pales in comparison to White’s.
