American rock band The Killers have not released a single studio album since the year 2008, but are now all set to release holiday singles for charity. According to Arjan Writes, the band has a new single specially meant for Christmas and would be out this week.
The single would be released in support of the RED campaign that spread awareness and raises money to fight HIV and AIDS. The song has been titled ‘Cowboy Christmas’ and ‘The Cowboy’s Christmas Balls’ would be released on December 1, 2011.
December 1 is also the World Aids Day and certain stills from the music video shoot have been obtained. The video shoot sows the boys in the band in western gear. The practice of releasing a holiday single to benefit RED has been going on since the year 2006.
Some of the earlier singles include, ‘Joseph, Better You Than Me’, ‘Don’t Shoot Me Santa’, ‘Happy Birthday Guadalupe’ and ‘ A Great Big Sled’. The Killer released their last studio ‘Day & Age’ in the year 2008. The band is now working together on their forthcoming album. The Killers got noticed with their 2004 ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘When You Were Young’ and ‘Mr. Brightside’. The band was formed in the year 2001 and has ill now released three studio albums.
