Popular progressive metal band Tool is getting ready to hit the road in 2014. For the first time since 2012, the ‘Sober’ musicians will tour the Unites States and Mexico, for a total of seven dates scheduled for March 2014. The upcoming dates have been listed on the band’s official website.
The ‘Parabola’ musicians had a sizable tour in North America in early 2012 and their upcoming seven performances will be their first foray since then. The band performed live during 2013, but only in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Tool’s latest tour is scheduled to begin on March 4, 2014 in Spokane, Washington and will end on March 21, 2014 in Veracuz, Mexico, at the Festival Cumbre Tajin.
The tour announcement is also fueling rumors that Tool is preparing a new album, the first full-length one since ‘10,000 Days’ which was released back in 2006 and topped the Billboard 200 chart, selling 564,000 copies in its first week. Danny Carey, the band’s drummer said back in July 2013 that a new record would most likely be released in early 2014.
