American country music icon Willie Nelson was recently forced to cancel his upcoming tour dates until October 15, 2013. The legendary singer has sustained a shoulder injury, due to which he was forced to cancel the new record tour dates.

Among canceled appearances of the ‘On The Road Again’ singer were also his scheduled performances at Zack Brown’s Southern Ground Music and Food Festival in Nashville, scheduled to be held this weekend. The publicist for the ‘Always On My Mind’ singer said that Nelson is was told by a doctor to rest and stop touring for the next two weeks.

Due to this, the 80-year-old singer had to cancel a number of shows – including the one this weekend – but despite the absence of Nelson, the two-day festival will still feature a lot of great musicians. Some of the performers during the weekend will be Clare Brown, Kacey Musgraves, Kenny Chesney, John Fogerty, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue and many more, alongside a special guest, Jason Mraz.

Brown about the concert said, “These are all people that I’m a really big fan of and people that I think our fans would enjoy. If you really sit out there and just come open-minded as a music fan and a food fan, you’re going to get your mind blown by all of it — that’s the goal.” The festival will be held in Nashville this weekend, on Friday, September 27, 2013 and Saturday, September 28, 2013.
